Anatomy

Wrist injury’s are common in sports in particular those with throwing, gripping or the risk of falling. The most common injuries involve the wrist joint, carpal bones, the radius or ulna bone, ligaments, cartilage or bursa.

Wrist pain can develop from repetitive activities of your hand causing what is commonly referred to as carpal tunnel, or from wrist osteoarthritis.  Pain may also be referred from your cervical spine (neck), shoulder or elbow, particularly when associated with poor posture.
